REFURBISHED OFFICES FOR CELPLAS
Celplas approached Midas to tender for a project to refurbish Lyme Building on Crewe Business Park. The brief was to give the building a facelift and create a modern suite of executive offices. Everything from spraying the windows, a new intercom system, spot lights, flooring and decoration throughout to landscaping outside the front and rear aspects of the property were required. The building was state-of-the-art when designed in the late 1980s, but times have changed and Celplas understood only too well that great environments promote great performance from companies and their staff. To this end, they set about creating a workspace to be proud of, where tenants’ clients would feel welcomed and team members valued.
THE PROJECT
Complete refurbishment of interior, including toilets, communal areas, reception, office space and external landscaping.
THE CHALLENGE
Landlords often get bad press for neglecting their charges, but in this case, Celplas was keen to be doing right by its commercial tenants, but mindful that normal everyday business couldn’t go on hold during the building works. As always, safety concerns were paramount as the offices welcomed outside visitors on a daily basis, and people who might be unfamiliar with the building’s layout. Clear signage would be required along with special routing to allow people to move around with minimal hindrance.
THE RESULTS
“Our experience of Midas Construction was extremely positive. We were met with excellent service by professional and courteous staff throughout the project. The skill of the team was exceptional and after each day, the area was cleaned and tidied ready for the next. Everything was completed on time, albeit not entirely to budget, but we did encounter some unforeseen aspects which the team identified quickly and briefed us on at the first opportunity. We’ve already recommended Midas to friends who have now commissioned the company’s services.” – Ian Clarke.
