LOCAL BUILDER WINS AWARD FROM NATIONAL BODY

Press Release 06/02/2010

Crew-based Midas Construction (Cheshire) Ltd yesterday received a prestigious award from a leading organisation within the building industry.

The LABC represents local authority building control departments in England and Wales and the body declared Midas winners of the ‘built in quality of the year award 2010’, at a ceremony held at the Mere Golf and Country Club.

The high standards of work shown on a loft conversion project in Northwich caught the eye of the building inspector at Vale Royal County Council, who subsequently nominated Midas for the award. The project was tricky, in that the supports needed to be cut out from the roof trusses in order to raise the floor level, without affecting headroom on the existing staircase.

Delighted recipient Jason Marshall commented: “We’re really pleased that a national independent body has recognised the dedication and effort that we put into our workmanship. Awards like this help customers choose reputable suppliers and it’s great for the business that we’ve been chosen as winners in the Domestic Extensions category”.

Midas Construction undertakes projects across Cheshire and the North West, specialising in new build, extension, conversion and renovation work.
